Start Of Senior Year August 15, 2015
So far senior year is what i expected it to be. Its honestly crazy to think this is it, I know it seems cliche to say that high school goes by fast but you don’t realize this until about the end of your junior year. When you realize you still have summer before senior year so you're a little bit more at ease, but what you don't know is how fast that summer goes by. Next thing you know It's your last year. I am right where I wanna be In order to graduate. Other than English, I should pass all of my classes no problem. Im not saying I have easy classes, I just finally understand that only good can come from education. I messed up last year by not finishing my second semester work for english but since then i've had time to think.
There are a lot of things I'm looking forward to my senior year. One thing I'm looking forward to is Friday nights. This is last year representing the city I love with a number on my back, i understand that the days are counting down so im appreciating every moment. If you’ve ever played football before you know there is no feeling like the one you get from stepping out on that field. Im also looking forward to dances and other fun school events like rallies or food days. Im sure everyone who is a senior is looking forward to the day we get our diplomas in June 2016. Im sure it would hurt anyone not being able to walk. It would be like three years of homework, essays , due dates, and hard work for nothing. I'm also looking forward to Basketball because some of my closest friends play basketball plus we’ve all grew up together loving the sport. Another thing i'm looking forward to is playing baseball at the end of the year for my first time. I'm honestly a little nervous about playing baseball because i haven't played since the seventh grade but im sure im a coachable person.
Going to college has always been a huge goal of mine, I told myself if i ever had the oppertunity to play college sports i would take it.One of my goals this year is to finish every assignment on time and correctly. Another goal of mine is being able to have a successful season in both Basketball and Football. I also want to know that i'm going to walk well before the graduation so that i'm not stressing at the end of the school year. A college goal of mine (if i make it to college) is to to get four years under my belt, Ive always had this goal because you make more money with a better education, and more money means a less stressful life. I dont mean money makes life easy but it sure does help.My last goal is more of a personal goal, I want to focus on improving my grades and athletic ability instead of other needles priorities.

Almost Half Way Done December 2, 2015
Not much has changed since my last journal entry. It’s just kind of sad to know the end of the year is near, but then again I’m a little excited to start my life. I enjoy all of my classes. My favorite classes are psychology and economics. I love psychology so much. I think I enjoy it so much because it’s a very interesting topic. You learn about the mind and why you do certain things. Another reason why I think I love that class is Ms. Mac. She is one of the realest teachers you will meet. Anything you ask her she will give you a straight up answer. She is a very funny and use sarcasm a lot but it relieves tension in the classroom when she does. I have to admit econ with Mr. Traeger is actually pretty changeling. I’m a little behind in his class but my goal is to be finished with his class a week before the semester is over. I know I can’t blame a teacher for me being behind but he honestly talks too much. He will get distracted with side conversations and talk all class and not leave us to do any work so we end up having a lot of homework. I hope to be done early because I hate to rush in general and I don’t want anything preventing me from graduating. I can honestly say that each one of my years here at high school is packed full of memories, but nothing can compare to this year. The year is barely half over and my friends and I have already made so much fun memories. Everyone understand that this is the last time that must of us will ever truly hang out and be all together, so we try and make the best with the time we got left. After graduation I plan to already have a job. My plan is to apply right after my birthday over charismas break and have a job the whole last semester. I would be fine with working anywhere, but a really cool job to have would be at the Nike store because of my athletic background. My dad always told me that money won’t buy you happiness, but you don’t buy your food with happiness. I think the message behind that is that money shouldn’t be a main source of happiness but it does have its importance. My parents, my sister, and my grandparents are all supportive when it comes to live after high school.
So Close To The End February 5, 2016
My winter break was really fun. I went to the snow, I turned 18, and had a great christmas. My birthday is on January 1st, so I get gifts for Christmas and my birthday only one week apart from each other. I had so much fun at the snow. I always told myself if i had the opportunity to live anywhere i wanted i would choose the snow. I'm not sure why I guess I just enjoy the cold weather. We went up there for three day and stayed in a cabin. It snowed most of the time and everyone had a great time. For my birthday my older brother and I went to the casino to celebrate. We had a great time there as well. We stayed up till 8:00am then went to eat breakfast at denny's.
Looking back on last semester not much has changed. I can say I appreciate playing basketball a little more because it's coming to an end. I regret not having urgency with some of my classes but i have learned from the past and plan to finish strong. I regret not emphasizing that this is our last season to some of the seniors on my team. I regret not being more involved with school activities and functions. Understanding this is my last semester here is a lot to taken in especially when you try to think of how fast it went by. You think about freshman year to now and it's goes by in a blink of an eye. Half of me is excited to get out of this place but the other half knows for a fact that i'm going to miss it. I hope to make as many memories as I can before I leave in order to make this year memorable.I need to finish economics from last semester in order to graduate, but I am not stressing that much about it due to the fact that i'm almost done with it. Once i get my website up to date I believe I have everything necessary in order to graduate.
I have applied to COS. I have registered for classes and i have completed my financial aid. My older sister Jackie is attending COS as well so she was able to help me out with a lot of it. I am very blessed and thankful to have her in my life. I know she would have my back no matter what. I have also acquired my drivers licence in order to apply for a job after basketball. I believe one of the first questions they ask when applying for a startup job is if you have a driver's license and how you plan on making it to work. I have taken whatever steps possible to make life after school not so scary or stressful. Honestly, i'm excited to try and go out on my own and try to start my life. Im curious to see where i'll end up in life. I'm just hoping it's someplace good.

Looking Back & Ahead February 20, 2016
Part of me is nervous for graduation only because i still need to finish a class in order to graduate, but the other part is counting down the days till i can leave this place. Im also nervous to see what life will be like not being forced to attend high school. Sometimes I wonder if i will see my friends as often or if some of my friends will even stay in touch. I'm nervous to see where all of us will be over time. I've made some preparations i've made for post high school plans. I've made sure to obtain my license and get a car in order to have better transportation for work or school. I've applied to many places looking for work during the last semester of school and over the summer. Ive also applied to my top colleges hoping to attend either one in order to get a higher education.
Something i have to do before i graduate is finishing an economics class i didn't pass last semester. It shouldn't be too hard but it needs to get done. Im planning on having that complete long before the last month of school. Other than economics I don't believe i need anything major in order to graduate. Honestly if I attend college the biggest thing i'm looking forward to is the girls. Coming from a town like this where mostly everyone is related to a college campus is a huge upgrade. I am also looking forward to making new friends. Forsure if i go to college i want to try new things. I'm also excited about attending college sporting events like basketball, football, baseball etc. I also heard that there is nothing like a college party so i'm excited to attend one. Even if i decide to not attend college i am looking forward to having a job and making my own money because i hate asking for money. Another thing to look forward to is having more free time. The biggest thing i'm looking forward to doing post graduation is trying to be independent and try to live on my own. In other words i'm excited to start my life.
Looking back on senior year brings a smile to my face. We had a decent football season and a great basketball season. It's filled with tons of memories with some of my closest friends. The memories and moments i've shared with these people will forever be cherished. I have to say I am most grateful for my family. My mom for always having a loving atmosphere at home. My dad for showing me what it takes to be a man. My sister for guiding me in the right direction. My grandparents for constant support and love. I am truly blessed for all my family and that's one thing i will fondly remember. I always told myself I would hate to live life in regret, looking back on senior year, I can say I lived up to that motto.
