Clubs
In my past 3 years of high school, I wasn't really into clubs that much yet I was apart of some. My freshman and sophomore year I was in avid. Avid helped me become more organized and made me realize the importance of education. It also helped me with my note taking. Another club I enjoyed being in was Careers in education. In this club you go to elementary school sites and learn what it means to be an educator. You are basicly like a helper at the will of the facilitator, but it is overall a great experience. You get to know the kids very well and in some cases even can become attached to the kids. I remember last year it was hard for me to say goodbye to my group of kids, but in conclusion the club helped me learn a lot about myself.
Football
Football is unlike no other sport. I will always have a place in my heart for football due to the lifelong lessons I've learned on the gridiron. Football is a physical and mental sport. People always say that football builds character. I disagree, I believe it reveals character. I say that there is no other sport like it because any other sport you can continue playing later in life. I know for a fact that I will be playing basketball long after i'm out of highschool, however i'm never going to be able to put on all my gear and play a real football game that means something. I love football because of the feeling you get when you look into the stands and see an energetic crowd of your family and peers all there just to watch you play. There is no other feeling like it.
Basketball
Basketball is a very fun sport to play. Basketball isn't as much as a physical sport as it is mental. The game requires you being calm and collective. Basketball is a game of runs, if one team goes on a run you need to relax and make a game plan to defend those points that were just scored on you. Some can claim that basketball is wild but it has a lot of stratitgy. I love the sport because it brings people together. There are only five players allowed on the court at the same time so those five guys have to have the same goal and understand how to work together. I played basketball all my four years while attending Lindsay High School and I've made several memories with my teammates on and off the court.
